Hi Guys! I haven't posted anything in so long. I feel ashamed... How can I make it up to you? I even missed Christmas to post something!! But anyway, I'm going to make this a long post about lots and lots of things including Christmas and New Year.
Christmas has been already! Even though it hasn't been the 12th day of Christmas yet. I got so many things for Christmas! Including a REAL Swatch watch! It's from the new collection, mine is bright blue with white numbers. I'm so glad with this present because I really wanted one. Another great present was that my sister came all the way from Holland to Malaysia!! I haven't seen her in so long, I couldn't even remember her voice... But now I have seen her I feel refreshed and happy! I also got new pajama's, a mug, stroopwafels (those are typical Dutch waffles, yum!) , also a book that I am going to talk about later and lots more!
New Year is tonight! I can't wait to watch the beautiful fireworks being lit up in the sky! I haven't got fireworks myself, because we are going to watch the fireworks from a famous restaurant in KL. The restaurant is mostly famous for New Year, because from there you can get the perfect view. In Dutch, New Year is called 'Oud en Nieuw', the exact translation is 'old and niew'. Just a small fact to keep the reading going ;)
A small story of my days with my sister. So, she landed at about 4 pm at the airport, and then another 2 hours drive until she came the our house so she arrived here at about 6 pm. We had a great Christmas dinner that night and then later we opened the presents and watched TV. Few days later we went to a fabulous island called 'Pangkor'. That place is amazing, the ideal tropical island that you see in the movies. Yes, I am saying that some things in the movies are possible! The day before yesterday we arrived back here. And let me tell you, we were completely burnt! My sister kept saying she was 'on fire' =]. And then we come to today, me writing the blog and she is downstairs doing other stuff.
Now, the book I was talking about in paragraph 2. The book is called 'Boys are Dogs', by Leslie Margolis. I have just finished the book, and I must say it is a really good book. Let me tell you what it says on the back:
When Annabelle returns from summer camp, her life is totally different. She's moving to a new house with her mom's new boyfriend and than means starting sixth grade at a brand-new school. Birchwood Middle School is VERY different from her old all-girls elementary, the boys practically run wild in the hallways. And at home, Annabelle's new puppy is taking over the house and chewing on her clothes. But the puppy came with a training manual, so Annabelle might be able to get one thing under control. Unless... can you train a boy the way you train a dog?
On the front it also has a comment from Meg Cabot, the author of the Princess Diaries: "Fresh, fun, and full of heart." I totally agree with her, for my opinion this book is funny, and you can really relate to Annabelle. I really recommend this book to other girls. There is also a follow up, called 'Girls acting Catty'. I'm so exited to read this book because I know how fun the other one is. When I looked at the back of the book it says first: "Dogs can be trained, Cats are a whole different story..." This sentence makes me want to dive in the book and read it right away! I decided to write posts about every chapter of the book, what my thoughts are, am I exited? Am I bored? Is this chapter important to the story and in which ways? And I'll write it in details!
Thanks for reading my post and I hope you will read more!!
